I was browsing my Facebook page when suddenly I saw this advertisement about Quentin Fielding. It says "Journey into the world of inspirational piano". I then immediately opened the link and checked out his fan page and was so overwhelmed that a sample music or piano instrumental can be played.

Hearing the first few notes where without a doubt inspirational. I immediately clicked on "Become a Fan" button because I know there's more of his music that I need to hear and enjoy. Today was my first time to hear about him and his compositions but I can say that I feel connected with his music.

My Internet connection was really slow but I waited for the music file to buffer just to hear some of his music posts. Expressing something you want to say in a musical composition is one way of letting the other person feel or hear what you want to say. Music is a universal language no matter what medium you use. I guess Quentin will agree with me.

I'm hoping that a copy of The Ghost Composer will be available here in the Philippines. (keeping my fingers crossed)

Linguine and Tuna in Yummy! Carbonara Sauce

My friend Yin, went to Pampanga and we met in the afternoon. We didn't have a clue that we'll end up cooking. She was given this recipé and I too was given this recipé however with totally different ingredients. We were arguing in the supermarket about what ingredients to buy. And so we gave up. We called the one responsible for the argument. Little did we know that he gave different ingredients to sooth our taste.

Our common friend is Vic. He recently had an operation and had to go on a healthy diet. Lucky for him, he's a good cook. Let me share this simple yet delicious recipé to y'all.

Ingredients:
1 pack linguine pasta
1 big can tuna flakes in oil
4 cloves of garlic
1 medium onion(sliced)
1 can button mushroom(sliced)

2 pcs bay leaf
4 medium tomatoes
1 can evaporated milk
1 can nestlé cream or cream of mushroom
1 box of cheddar cheese (sliced into cubes)
1 medium red bell pepper(julienne)
1 medium green bell pepper(julienne)
chopped bacon for garnish
freshly ground pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Cook pasta until al dente.
2. While letting the pasta cook, using the oil from the canned tuna, sauté the garlic and onion. Once the onion becomes translucent, add the tuna.
3. Add mushrooms and bay leaf, then sauté.
4. Put the tomatoes in and wait until the tomato skin slightly peeled off.
5. Add milk and nestlé cream or cream of mushroom.
6. Add the cheese and make sure all ingredients are stays just at the level the cream sauce and let it simmer.
7. Add in the green and red bell pepper.
8. Put some freshly ground pepper to taste.
9. Take some of the solid ingredients and set aside. Toss in the cooked pasta then mix. Once transferred in a serving plate, top with the tuna that was set aside.

Note: Try to avoid adding salt as the cheese is already salty. You may also bake the pasta after cooking then top it with the chopped bacon. Good for four people.

I just had a great and tiring off last Friday. I never expected that day to be exhausting as it can be. First thing I did was to prepare before leaving the house since I have an annual medical exams to accomplish. Unfortunately, by the time I got in our workplace, the medicard team were not present as they canceled the August schedule. Before I went to our workplace, I made a visit at Carmelite to meditate. I've spent a couple of minutes there. I am glad to see friends and relatives along the way within the whole day. Unexpectedly, the first person I saw was my cousin from Guagua, her name is Lady Diane or whom we call Princess. I was first inside the jeepney when I saw her going inside. We talked until she left for her interview in a company inside PhilExel. I also saw Grace David which was a former colleague in eTel.

When I finally reached our workplace. Alot of my other colleagues were wondering why I was in there since they knew that my shift schedule was in the graveyard shift. And so I told them my misfortune. I got there at about 9 o'clock in the morning and left for lunch at exactly 12 noon. I never clocked in because I never intended to consider it as an overtime. I also went to my college friend who so happened to work in eTel as well to ask him if he would want to watch G. I. Joe along with our other kabarkada after his shift. And so he said "YES". So I went straight to SM Clark to eat at Kenny Roger's Roasters(alone). I waited for a less than an hour to wait for my best friend Ria. Unknowingly, she was with her college friend Sarah who happened to be a big help regarding my phone. My cell phone is going crazy lately and since Sarah has the same phone as mine, I asked her if she is also experiencing the same issues as mine. She was a damn great cell phone repair woman. She helped me reformat the phone memory of my N73.

After a few minutes of meeting up with Ria and Sarah, we ate Crazy Rolls at Teriyaki Boy. And again when Vic came, we ate at Paotsin. I was literally full and can't eat another batch of foodies. One more thing that I got upset with that day was that when Vic informed me that we will not be pushing through with the plan of watching G. I. Joe. And so we just decided to leave early so that I could finally rest after a long hours of hanging out with friends.

It is always a blessing to me whenever I hear someone play the piano. This April 2009, I was able to watch a concert on TV of a Korean pianist who was on a tour for a foundation called "Beautiful Children". She was handicapped but awesome, considering she only has two fingers with each hands and with her feet not touching the pedals since she has dwarfism syndrome. She's also unbelievable, passionate and has a good spirit. I was startled on how she plays the piano with her 4 fingers. More so when she sang the song "Anak" by Freddie Aguilar and she nailed it along with the piano.

I am glad that I can also play the piano and I want to be a part of a piano concert. Self study is what I do at home. For four months, I studied playing the keyboard at Notes and Rhythm located at Miranda St. Angeles City. I had the privilege to be taught by the best and well - known music mentor in town. I love the way she teach her students. She usually play another instrument like violin while her student is playing. Now that I am no longer enrolled at her school, I make sure that I am able to practice my piano or keyboard skills whenever I have spare time.

The two persons that inspires me most in loving and playing the piano are my friend io(short for his nickname) and yin(that's what I call her). Back in 2005, I received a present from yin, it was a piece that she played over the phone for roughly three minutes. I don't remember the title of the said piece but what I could remember is that it was really nice of her to play a piece for me for my birthday. That was one of the most valuable presents that I received since birth. My other friend io has not given me anything like yin's but I was amazed to know that he can also play the piano. These two friends of mine always keeps the passion inside me. That is why I became passionate in learning how to play the keyboard or the piano.

What I love the most about the piano is that it's classic unlike the keyboard wherein you can play around with the rhythm etc. I remember when my mentor asks me to play with the rhythm, I stutter.

I'm not musically inclined but I can say that I am beginning to be like it. I keep bugging my mom if she could buy me a piano, but I guess I have to wait until I save enough money to get one. I kind of regret not buying the roll-up piano that I saw in Singapore. It only costs S$48 and that would only be about Php1488 in peso. My friend yin was also wanting one, but she doesn't have any money to buy one.

Fastforward.. I was amazed when I heard my mom saying that she will be putting me at music school again. My mom said that she has a friend that can help me with the piano or keyboard lesson. I though am a bit feeling awkward because I'm uncomfortable with that setup. It sounded more complicated because the friend that she was talking about was also one of the former student of my mentor. But I guess that will never happen coz' both of us are busy.

This windmill reminded me of one episode in Smallville so I took a shot of it.

I believe the windmill supplies the power to the water waves of La Vista Inland Resort in Balanga City, Bataan. We didn't swim at all because we did not pack any extra clothes. It's a good thing though that we had a good decision because the Resort was fully loaded. Some UA (University of Assumption) student's went there for a trip.

One of Pampanga's oldest church which is situated in Bacolor, Pampanga was hit by lahar when the world - famous Mt. Pinatubo erupted back in 1995. It was named after the town's Patron Saint, San Guillermo. This church was actually constructed during the Spanish regime by the Agustinian Friars in 1576. It features fascinating works of architecture, such as its classic altar in antique carved design and décor blending with religious frescos reminiscent of neoclassical works of European art. Two main catastrophic event - earthquake in 1880, lahar flow from Mt. Pinatubo in 1995 shook the said church. Half the church was actually buried when the lahar flowed; considering that it's 12-m in height.

Whoah! The very memorable of all places we've been in Singapore. Imagine just a few minutes after we got there, the rain poured so hard that everybody went running to the nearest shade. We had second thoughts of going in because it was about to get sunset. It was a good decision though that we didn't push through.

As something to remember by, I took a photo of one of my friends with these wood carvings. Look at the elephants above. They look real right? They're just stone carvings, and they look really great!

It's been almost a year since Lacoste celebrated their 75th anniversary and they launched this watch as part of their celebration. When I first saw this on the newspaper, I immediately fell in love with it. In fact, it is still part of my must have list along with the other watches by Philip Stein. Lacoste only made 750 pieces limited edition of this watch. The watch has leather deployment buckle strap and unique aperture with appearing disc dial. Engraved at the back of each watch are the numbers 001 to 750.

Just now, I went to ebay.com and ebay.ph trying and hoping that I could check for any possible auction for one or more pieces of this watch. I actually found one it was numbered 152 out of 750. Right as of this time the current bid is a bit more than P16,000.00 and there's an option to buy it now for P18,000.00. I wish I have that money so that I could finally have one.

Back in October 2008, I went to the Manila Ocean Park, SM Mall of Asia, Market Market, Bonifacio High Street and Two Serendra to celebrate my 23rd birthday. It was kind of fun because even though it was rainy back then, I was able to go to the places that I really love to visit at least once in a while. It was also a time for relaxation since my job is really exhausting and stress was getting to my nerves already.

My first stop was in Manila Ocean Park or so called Oceanarium, I was there for just about an hour to see the beautiful creatures of the sea from small fishes to large sharks. I ate lunch at Don Henrico's in SM Mall of Asia, and also tried searching for Geox shoes but ended up with a pair of Sanuk Men's Scribble sandals. From there, I went straight to Market Market in Taguig. It was my first time to go there so I spent about an hour wandering inside the said mall.

Since my brother works for Ayala Land, I went to see him in Two Serendra since their office is underground the condominium. Anyway it was just beside Market Market. He toured me inside Two Serendra, and it was such a beautiful condo and place to live. After that, I went to Bonifacio Hight Street, a one-kilometer place in Fort Bonifacio Global City that has strip of trendy restaurants, bars, clubs, and retail outlets. I ended up at Von Dutch to buy some clothes as birthday present for myself. And that's my kind of trip.

For a couple of months now, I have been struggling with my sleep. I always end up exhausted in my effort to sleep soundly. Fortunately, some time in the month of May, I've read a newspaper and saw an advertisement plus an article about this product that enhances our sleep. And so I immediately went to the mall, straight to "The Body Shop" which offers natural beauty products for the body.

The advertisement was for the Deep Sleep Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist. It is a quick-drying mist that encourages restful sleep. It also says that it is ideal for those who are looking for naturally inspired ways to help them drift off to a peaceful and restorative sleep.

Yesterday, I bought one bottle so that I could try it for myself. Right now, I still am not convince if it is effective, but I can say that it helped me somehow because previously, I'm like half asleep and only get 5-6 hours of sleep.

I've had this dog named Shelby, as seen in the picture. She's a labrador given to us by my dad's colleague. She's very beautiful, and I like stroking her golden fur, and cute stance. This picture reminds me the day before she got very sick which led to her death.

I named this dog Shelby because it so happened that I was watching the series Smallville wherein the episode was about two dogs, one named Shelby and the other one I forgot the name. One more cool thing about it is, they were injected crushed meteorite which make them really strong, as in they can destroy steel in no time. In the said episode, they were used the robbers to scare their victim and get the safety deposit box of the stores that they are to rob. Well, of course i didn't name my dog Shelby for that reason. haha!

I still wish I still have her at home. Some people that I know, and that my mom knows gave us puppies us well, but they are just street dogs, I love them but unfortunately, they died as well. huhu!

I've watched a pinoy movie a year ago, entitled "pido dida". One of the characters(pido) narrated a story, it was a story about a little boy who happens to be all alone by himself; no family nor relatives. one day he was hungry and he has no money to buy food. And so, he climb up a tree and ate the fresh leaves from the tree. He then said to himself that he was so unfortunate due to his current situation. but when he looked down, he saw another child like him; hopeless and has no one, just like him. The child under the tree was eating withered leaves. The reason why he is eating whithered leaves was because he is unable to climb up the tree due to his foot. His other foot was severly ill. The boy who's up the tree then realized that he was not the most unfortunate due to what he saw.

We should not lose hope for we are not the most unfortunate of all. We should consider ourselves blessed. But let's not forget to be of blessing to others.

Sentosa, one of the main attraction in Singapore. It's like a giant theme park where you can swim at the beach, go to the Oceanarium, ride a cable car, race in the luge and many more.

It's one of the place that I'll surely visit once I get back in there. If you're looking for fun, Sentosa surely is the place to be.

My friends and I finally had our get together last August 21, 2009. It was five weeks of trying to take chances for our schedules to be the same. Though only four of us made it, we still enjoyed our dinner at Cottage Kitchen in Fields Avenue, Angeles City, Pampanga.

For more than a year now, I've been hearing positive feedback from a friend about the food they serve in Cottage Kitchen. The food was indeed great. The serving is hefty. It's a good thing they have half servings. You even have a wide range of choices. Their menu includes more than one hundred fifty plus choices.

It's our second time to dine in at Fields Avenue. You have a wide range of choices from American to Thai cuisine. So if you are up to a gastronomic dining, try out one restaurant at a time.

The said dinner would probably be our last for this year. Working in the BPO industry needs you to be flexible with your schedules. Unfortunately just last week, we had our bidding for our new shift schedules and I landed on a Monday and Tuesday off. This new schedule is in contrast with what my friends has which is a weekend off. I just wish that I'll finally find a job that will let me enjoy time with my family and friends without compromising anyone else's time.

It has been so many years like almost 8 years since I tried to plant a sunflower in our front yard. One time when I was in SM Hypermarket, I came across this section that sells flower seeds and saw a pack of sunflower seeds. I took one and this is the first time that I was able to see such a beautiful creation of God.

It keeps me wondering why they are called such, maybe because they simply love the sun. They always follow where the sunlight is. Pretty cool. Huh!

I have known someone who is a natural problem solver. He's a fil-am friend of mine. I wish I could be like him, he's so cool when it comes to solving his own problems and other people's problem. He easily gets out of a particular problem or situation in a snap. Sometimes I wonder how he manages his problems.

Typical Filipinos handle problem so lightly as if the problem doesn't exists. Unfortunately, I am not part of the typical Filipino bracket. As to how I see them, they are fond of procrastinating. The good thing though is that they always seem to be happy besides having so many problems at hand. They always think of problems as if they were a joke on them.

Along the stretch of Mc Arthur Highway City of San Fernando Pampanga are Acasia trees that are planted on the sides of the road. They act as shade and guide for travelers. Just a few months back, Gloria along with Atienza planned on a project for road widening and they requested for these trees to be cut down. I think they were exorcist by demons that's why they thought about that plan.

What keeps me wondering is their lame reason on why they had to cut down these trees. They said it is because they intend road widening as a solution to huge toll fees in the Expressway. Why not lessen the cost of toll fee rates and keep these Acasia trees that has been up for almost 50 years? I hate them for being so corrupt. In addition to that, these kind of things should be communicated with the Fernandinos and ask for approval. Not like trying to do all you want.
